Help us with our new home
The Wichita Toy Train Club was organized in 1985 and over the years we have collected many private layouts, display cases, and model train memorabilia that has been donated to the club. Over our history we have occupied two different mall suites in which we displayed these layouts and operated our locomotives not only for our fun but for the entertainment and education of the public. One of our suites has been featured in the December 2007 issue of O Gauge railroad magazine. We also run our locomotives at area events such as the Wichita River Festival, Exploration Place, Hutchison Cosmo-sphere, Tanganyika Wildlife Park, and Old Cow Town, along with these events some of our members are also very involved in Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts and display and run their locomotives at scouting events.
The Club's new home is located at 130 South Laura, Wichita, Kansas. Planning and reconstruction is underway to showcase our layouts and displays. Managing our expansive collection is an expensive undertaking and it cannot happen without the support of the community. Donations from both corporations and individuals will allow the Wichita Toy Train Club to reach our financial goal and make the move to a new home a reality.
The Wichita Toy Train Club is a 501©3 organization and all donations are tax deductable. There is no such thing as a donation too small, and every little bit helps.
